Founded in January 2007, by a Doctorial candidate from the University of
Washington, Northwest Foundation of Washington has as its mission the study of
innovative and responsive client-centered services and programs. The foundation
provides referrals to mainstream and immigrant serving organizations; it is also
a catalyst for community promotion and education.
The Northwest Foundation of Washington operates under the direction of a
volunteer Board of Directors and is a non-profit organization and registered
charity the State of Washington, Secretary of State; Charities division.
A MULTICULTURAL VISION
Northwest Foundation of Washington is committed to developing formative
education, community and quality of life research projects such as immigrant
families’ assimilation and access to education resources. We recently embarked
on a pilot program which involves a series of targeted mini surveys. Volunteer
undergraduate students will help with these assessments. Our focus hopes to
continue and contribute to multicultural discussions encompassing housing and
basic needs for at risk families, who seek a better life for their children.
