You Can Make the Difference
Advocate Program
To be a Northwest Foundation of Washington volunteer or bilingual advocate you need to participate in a 40+ hour advocates training, which Northwest Foundation of Washington offers twice a year. Volunteer advocates work mainly with limited and/or non English-speaking immigrants and are not required to provide services during regular business hours. Bilingual advocates work with limited English proficient immigrants and are required to be available on an on-call basis during regular business hours. Our advocates work with survivors by providing social service support, which encompasses activities like peer counseling, and interpretation assistance. Please send email to info@northwestfoundation.org for more information
Community Outreach Program

To be a community outreach volunteer you need to participate in a one-day community outreach volunteer training, which Northwest Foundation of Washington offers every Fall and Spring. Our community outreach volunteers assist in distributing surveys, brochures and educational materials to community and universities; organizing speaking engagements for Northwest Foundation of Washington at local community organizations; representing Northwest Foundation of Washington at local cultural events and meetings; and developing relationships with local university student groups and educators.
